Position Summary
The Seasonal Facilities & Lot Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of commercial vehicle storage lots, parking areas, and grounds. This role performs vegetation management, fence maintenance, lot organization, and general property upkeep to support the safe and efficient operation of one of Central Ohio's leading commercial truck equipment providers. The position requires experience operating outdoor power equipment and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and professional facility.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and has experience safely operating equipment such as chainsaws, skid steers, weed trimmers, and spraying equipment. All required equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided by the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Grounds & Vegetation Management:
Clear overgrown brush, weeds, saplings, and vegetation from parking lots, fence lines, drainage areas, and property boundaries.
Operate weed trimmers, brush cutters, chainsaws, and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
Apply approved herbicides and vegetation control products according to manufacturer instructions and company policies.
Maintain gravel and paved lot edges to prevent overgrowth and improve appearance.
Lot Organization & Maintenance:
Assist in maintaining an organized and professional vehicle storage lot.
Remove debris, trash, fallen branches, and other hazards from company property.
Identify and report drainage issues, potholes, erosion, or other lot maintenance concerns.
Assist with vehicle staging and lot organization as needed.
Fence & Property Maintenance:
Inspect perimeter fencing and gates regularly.
Perform minor fence repairs and maintenance.
Report significant damage or repair needs to management.
Ensure gates and access points remain secure and operational.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate company equipment including:
Chainsaws
Weed trimmers and brush cutters
Skid steers and attachments
Spraying equipment
General landscaping and maintenance tools
Conduct basic equipment inspections prior to use.
Report maintenance or repair needs promptly.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Properly use company-provided PPE.
Follow all OSHA requirements and chemical handling guidelines.
Maintain awareness of surroundings while working around vehicles, equipment, and active operations.
Participate in safety meetings and training as required.
Commercial Vehicle Lot Support:
Assist with maintaining organized parking and staging areas for commercial trucks, chassis, and completed vehicles.
Support lot audits and identify vehicles that need relocation or attention.
Assist Operations with special projects related to vehicle storage areas and facility improvements.
Maintain clear access routes for transporters, customers, and emergency vehicles.
Ensure the facility presents a professional appearance to customers, vendors, and visitors at all times.
Support facility improvement projects and general grounds beautification efforts.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, property maintenance, construction, farming, or related fields preferred.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience operating chainsaws safely.
Experience operating skid steers or similar equipment.
Experience using weed trimmers, brush cutters, and landscaping equipment.

Position Summary:
The Commercial Vehicle Technician is responsible for both vehicle upfitting and mechanical service work on commercial trucks and vans. This role installs aftermarket equipment and accessories to meet customer specifications while also performing maintenance and repair work on vehicles returning from service or off-rent use. The technician ensures vehicles are safe, functional, and ready for redeployment or customer delivery, meeting company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Upfitting & Equipment Installation
Install aftermarket equipment and accessories including bodies, racks, toolboxes, electrical components, lighting, and specialty equipment.
Perform mechanical, electrical, and structural modifications according to work orders, drawings, and specifications.
Read and interpret build sheets, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions.
Verify proper installation, fit, function, and secure mounting of all equipment.
Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (Off-Rent / Service Units)
Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid top-offs, filter replacement, and inspections.
Diagnose and replace worn or damaged components such as brake pads, rotors, belts, hoses, and suspension parts.
Repair or replace damaged body components, mounts, brackets, or accessories as needed.
Identify additional maintenance or repair needs and communicate findings to supervisors.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools and diagnostic methods.
Verify repairs and installations through functional testing and inspections.
Support quality checks prior to vehicle release.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and shop policies.
Ensure work complies with OEM guidelines, company standards, and applicable regulations.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
Properly document work performed, parts used, and service findings.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with production, service, quality, and engineering teams.
Assist with training or mentoring less-experienced technicians as needed.
Identify improvement opportunities related to efficiency, safety, quality, or tools.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Prior experience as a vehicle technician, mechanic, upfit technician, or similar role required.
Experience working on commercial trucks or vans strongly preferred.
ASE certification(s) a plus but not required.
Skills & Abilities
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skills.
Ability to perform both upfitting and maintenance tasks efficiently.
Ability to read work orders, diagrams, and technical documentation.
Basic electrical knowledge (12V systems, lighting, accessories).
